Fourth of July Recipe
It’s not a real 4th of July cookout without sizzling meat on the grill and a big pot of all-American baked beans. At Standard Meat, we like our grilled links hot and sweet and our beans Southern style, cooked with savory bacon and plenty of smoky sausage.
Enjoy these recipes with your favorite sausages — or try them with ours: Texas Smoker’s Jalapeno Smoked Sausage Links and Syracuse Andouille Sausage.
Happy 4th of July!

Sweet Heat Jalapeno Smoked Sausage
- Texas Smoker’s Jalapeno Smoked Sausage Links
- 1 cup Honey
- 2 tbs Cholula Hot Sauce
- 2 tsp Crushed Red Pepper
Combine honey and crushed red pepper in small pan. Over medium-high heat, bring to simmer. Remove from heat, stir in Cholula. Add more to taste if more spice is desired. Set aside.
Prepare grill. Set gas grills to medium-high heat. For charcoal grills, use a two-zone fire. Having the fire on only one side provides more options for cooking temperatures — and it’s nice to have in the event of a flare-up.
Once the grill is ready, grill the sausages until they are heated through. Be sure to flip and glaze with Cholula hot honey every 2-3 minutes until finished.
