Helping The Helpers - SMC Support World Central Kitchen

It can be easy to feel helpless in times like these, watching terror unfold thousands of miles away. Mr. Rogers famously said “When I was a boy and I would see scary things in the news, my mother would say to me, ‘Look for the helpers. You will always find people who are helping.’” So we look for the helpers, and time and again, we see the people of World Central Kitchen right there doing the important work of feeding people in need. We see it as our job, then, to help the helpers.

We are both honored and humbled to announce we have made a donation to @WorldCentralKitchen to help with their brave work feeding the people of Ukraine, and we invite you to join us.

WCK is an organization that we trust and are proud to have supported in the past. When disaster strikes, WCK’s Chef Relief Team mobilizes to the front lines. They have provided tens of millions of fresh, nourishing meals to communities in need around the world. A nourishing meal in a time of crisis is so much more than a plate of food — it's hope, dignity and a sign that someone cares.
