Quiz Bowl

Congratulations to recent Standard Meat interns Lauren Lee and Sarah Bludau for being crowned Reserve Champions in the American Meat Science (AMSA) Intercollegiate Quiz Bowl as part of the Texas A&M team!

The AMSA Intercollegiate Quiz Bowl is an educational competition amongst teams of students representing their universities where they are quizzed on all things Meat Science - from the history of the meat industry to meat microbiology to current events and beyond.

While interning, Lauren worked in our plant's Food Safety and Quality Assurance Department and Sarah in Research and Development. Lauren is entering the final semester of her undergraduate degree at A&M and Sarah has recently graduated and is starting her graduate studies at Iowa State. Both are interested in a career in Meat Science.

We are incredibly proud to have had the opportunity to work with Sarah and Lauren. Congratulations again from the entire Standard Meat family!
