It's the last week of the 2022 Fort Worth Stock Show & Rodeo and our Co-Presidents Ashli Rosenthal Blumenfeld and Ben Rosenthal are looking back and celebrating their family's long history with the show and with the meat industry in Fort Worth.

Ashli and Ben remember attending the Junior Sale of Champions on the last Saturday of the show every year as kids with their parents and grandparents — Standard Meat's own Billy and Manny Rosenthal. Ben Rosenthal keeps that family tradition alive as a member of the Stock Show Syndicate, which raises funds for Texas 4-H and FFA youth exhibitors at the Junior Sale of Champions. In 2020, the organization shattered its own fundraising record, awarding $4.749 million to the next generation of young livestock entrepreneurs, a total which included a record-setting $300,000 purchase of the Grand Champion Steer of the Show. As part of the Spur Committee of the Stock Show, Ashli has helped bring the live music and entertainment that excites a whole new generation of livestock industry and Fort Worth families and children.

The Fort Worth Stock Show is the greatest livestock show in the world, and with Ben and Ashli we are proud to have grown up right alongside it — and are thrilled to still be part of its story.
